The Skills Assessment Day is required for any baseball or softball player that registers for Minors, Majors or 50/70. The Skills Assessment Day is always scheduled shortly after registration closes (see the League Calendar) and is intended to give the coaches a good understanding of each player's skills as well as prepare the coaches for the league draft.
On Assessment Day, players will be divided into groups based on age and registered division and will go through a series of:
-Hitting
-Fielding
-Throwing
-Catching
After the Skills Assessment Day, coaches and/or managers will attend the players draft, following official Little League rules and regulations. Only one coach or manager per team is allowed to attend the draft.
